Screenburning {Screenprinting screenburns}

The goal is to make the world prettier. We can accomplish this by providing artists with the tools they need. N O T A F L O F. "No one turned away for lack of funds"

The prices are only a suggestion, but any amount helps.

Screen burning is basically using light to burn your design into a screen that’s been coated with emulsion — it hardens everywhere except where your design is, so it ends up making a stencil for the ink to go through when you print. Mass produce your ideas.

Services are only offered in:

  • Spearfish, South Dakota

  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Screenburn: $20.00 ----------------------------------- Clean screen, with nothing on it

Dirty Screenburn $30.00 ----------------------------- Screen that needs to be reclaimed

Multiple screens will be discounted, please contact us.

Turnaround:

Screenburn ----------------------------------- 3 days

Dirty Screenburn ----------------------------- 7-10 days

Rush services can be done, please contact us.

Process:
  1. Drop off a screen & Email your art.

  2. Clean & Coat the screen with emulsion.

  3. Wait 24-48 hours for emulsion to dry.

  4. Print your art on a transparency.

  5. "Burn" your art to the screen.

Artwork/Design Sizing and Quality:

I can only print or burn on a 13"X19" sheet of transparency.

The artwork/design will need to fit within the margins of 12"x18" to fit.

Most art/designs will work on a 150+ mesh screen. If the design is super high quality like a photograph, I would recommend a 250+ mesh. I will try my best to make a design work within restraints.

Specifications:

I use AP Blue emulsion, the jeffie bezos special. fuck that dude though.

This emulsion is solid for plastisol and water-based ink. I have this thing dialed in at 55 seconds with a 110 mesh screen. I use this personally when printing, and have never ran into any issues. I tried BASELAYR, and it does not seem to work with my set up.

Currently running 3 "300" Watt backlights purchased from China. They rest roughly 36" above on a thick glass piece.
